Christopher C. Swain, M.D.

Founder and President 

As a Board Certified Ob/Gyn physician, Dr. Chris Swain brings strong clinical skills and extensive obstetrics hospitalist operations experience to OB Hospitalist Group’s client hospitals.  Dr. Swain has engineered the growth and development of OB Hospitalist Group by keenly employing his knowledge of women’s healthcare delivery to the application of a professional mission statement and a vision for obstetrics hospitalist operations in future healthcare markets.

Dr. Swain is a seasoned clinician with experience in solo practice, group practice, public health, and medical education. After undergraduate studies at The Citadel, he attended The University of South Alabama College of Medicine.  Dr. Swain completed Ob/Gyn residency training at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida

David C. Swain

Chief Executive Officer

David Swain has 15 years of corporate executive experience and provides the “best practices”, quality assurance, and business development skills needed to ensure each hospital partnering with Ob Hospitalist Group receives the highest quality of service possible. He has traveled extensively within our network of hospitals to assist each with billing, administrative, and functional requirements necessary to make the transition to an operational Ob Hospitalist Program.  

David spent 10 years as an officer in the USAF after completing undergraduate studies at The Citadel. He also attended the University of South Carolina where he obtained a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
